Lucky Shirt

A young friend won several barrel racing competitions with this saddle. This watercolor painting shows her competing in her lucky shirt.

I so enjoyed doing a watercolor painting of the leather on this saddle. The hot press paper allowed blending and layering of the watercolor and the composition of the saddle and the barrel racer.
